On Wednesday, 9th June, 2021 a fully refurbished and well stocked computer laboratory was handed over to the Atonsu M/A Cluster of Schools in Kumasi, in the Ashanti Region. This was done in a two-hour ceremony held at the school’s premises, in line with the Bank’s CSR drive, to aid in effective teaching and learning of ICT in basic schools in Ghana.
The ICT laboratory has been fully stocked with new desks, a printer, projector, three air conditioners, forty-one (41) desktop computers and internet access.
The school, established in 1965 with over 2000 pupils, is made up of five (5) sections in the cluster. These are: Atonsu M/A JHS A, Atonsu M/A JHS B, Atonsu M/A Primary A and B and the New Atonsu Bethel Presby.
The commissioning was led by our Divisional Head, General Internal Services, Iris Richter-Addo, with support from some Management and staff of the Bank, teaching and non-teaching staff of the school, traditional rulers, Municipal Chief Executive of Atonsu amongst other dignitaries.
This is the sixth (6th) of a similar project completed and handed over to a basic school in Ghana.
