Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, ‘Product Innovation Bank 2013’ and Databank Group, Ghana’s biggest Investment firm have entered into a unique partnership and collaboration. First, this novel partnership would enable clients of Databank to top up their investments by paying into Databank investments funds accounts in all branches of GTBank.
The collaboration further allows for the setting up of ‘Databank Corners’ in GTBank branches for the purpose of providing investment advice. GTBank currently has 31 branches across Ghana.
This partnership which is the first of its kind between a commercial bank and an investment firm in Ghana would provide a larger number of outlets to enable the clients of Databank to conveniently purchase or top up their investments in any of Databank five mutual funds; namely Databank Epack Investment Fund (Epack), Databank Money Market Fund (MFund), Databank Balanced Fund (BFund), Databank Educational Investment Fund (EdIFund) and Databank Ark Fund (ArkFund).
Moreover, in GTBank branches where Databank Corners exist, Databank clients would be able to check their account balances and sign up for value-added services such as Databank Notification Alert, Direct Debit, standing order, etc while Databank representatives in these branches would be on standby to provide investment advice to Databank walk-in clients.
According to Databank Chief Executive Office, Mr. Kojo Addae-Mensah, this initiative is in line with Databank’s mission of championing financial independence among Ghanaians through providing financial education and offering a diverse range of investment products and services.
