To further enhance its electronic banking experience, Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited has introduced another convenient option for its customers to purchase airtime for their phones using the Internet Banking platform.
This additional service, which comes barely a month after the introduction of the GTMobile version to top up credit by dialing the short code *713#, also allows customers to purchase airtime credits for all mobile networks through the internet banking platform.
Just like the GTMobile option, the process for purchasing airtime via the GTBank Internet Banking platform is straightforward and simple. To begin with, customers must be profiled on the GTBank Internet Banking platform to be able to perform this transaction. The customer begins by logging into the Internet Banking platform using his account details. He then selects “Airtime Top up” from the side menu, followed by choosing the account to debit, the network and the amount of credit to purchase. He then inputs his mobile number, email address and answers his secret question and selects submit to conclude the transaction.
The bank’s system would verify if the account to debit is funded and also if the mobile number is in the correct format, after which the customer’s account would be debited and airtime account credited with the purchased amount. The customer would thereafter receive a successful message with the transaction ID, the amount purchased and the mobile number.
Just like the GTMobile service option, the Internet Banking Airtime Top up is also a straight forward choice for customers who are constantly on the move and need to purchase credit from the comfort of their homes and offices or anywhere.
Expectedly, the Internet Banking Airtime Top up option is fast, convenient, highly secured and reliable.
Commenting on the introduction of this additional convenience of the bank’s Internet Banking Platform, the Managing Director of GTBank, Mr. Lekan Sanusi stated that, “The upgrade to add the airtime credit top up option onto our Internet Banking Platform truly cements its one-stop-shop nature. Customers can perform various transactions including buying airtime credit without moving out of their homes or offices once profiled on the platform”.
“In developing products for our cherished customers, we consider all possible options and this is what has led us to also develop the Internet Banking Airtime Top up for those who find it convenient to use the internet to purchase credit instead of mobile phones”, he added.
GTBank’s leadership in the area of e-banking solutions and its commitment to continually deliver unrivaled IT channels for the convenience of customers and also to delight and bring utmost satisfaction in doing business with it is unchallenged.
