GTBank Wins International Award for Good Corporate Governance

Guaranty Trust Bank plc, Africa’s foremost financial institution and parent company of Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited, has reaffirmed its position as a leading global brand following its recent recognition for good corporate governance during the 2015 African Business Awards held on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The African Business Awards, which was launched in 2008 by African Business Magazine, is recognized as the most prestigious and definitive business awards in Africa, recognizing leadership and excellence on the continent. The Awards seeks to highlight a successful and vibrant Africa that is open to local, regional and global business ventures.

Now in its seventh year, the African Business Awards has grown into a platform that celebrates exceptional performance in African business by recognizing the individuals and companies that are driving Africa’s rapidly transforming economy and creating new economic opportunities for citizens and communities all over the continent.

Earlier this year, Guaranty Trust Bank plc became the first financial institution in Nigeria to obtain and fully implement the triple International Organization for Standardization certification by the British Standard Institute (BSI) as required by the Central Bank of Nigeria.

Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Limited has received many accolades in recognition of its superiority across many fronts in the financial services industry.
